In every other online poker room today you play at a flat 2d table with no animation. Although that may be necessary for people who love playing 12 or more tables, the idea of PKR is very intriguing. PKR attempts to enhance your online experience by taking it to a new level, a completely controllable 3d environment.

PKR has built up a solid player base over the past year with heavy international marketing. It does take time to build traffic, but PKR has been a large draw for newer poker players as well seasoned players who are interested by a major graphics improvement. If they continue promoting and exposing themselves I don't see why PKR couldn't grow to a few thousand active players by next year. Currently during peak hours, they have roughly 6,500 players and about 2,000 of them being real money players. This is by far the most traffic of any 3d poker site.

PKR Software
One word can basically describe this, astonishing. PKR Poker offers more than any online poker room on the market. They have some of the best graphics out there, which include amazing poker environments, characters, tables, and items on the tables. You aren't limited to the same environment time after time either. You get to pick from a variety of them to help keep things fresh.
Given its complexity, the gameplay at PKR runs smoothly. A series of camera options allows the visuals to be fixed or dynamic. The game can also be viewed in the first person through your character's eyes. When the "orbit" view is selected, the table can be rotated manually using a mouse. Perhaps my favorite way in which PKR's graphics effect the gameplay is that it allows you to show the table just one of your cards (rather than both or none) upon mucking.

PKR Tournaments
The biggest tournament PKR has is a $10,000 guaranteed tournament run on the weekends. Besides normal tournaments, PKR runs many freerolls and bounty tournaments as well. Freerolls run very often, and have mediocre prize pools. Once in a while PKR runs a bigger freeroll for new depositors or as a seasonal promotion. Bounty tournaments are also great fun in the 3D environment. Although PKR offers some great tournaments, there is still limited tournament traffic simply because PKR is still a fairly new poker room.
