Well when I discuss poker with someone who hasn't played poker yet I usually get 2 reactions. "This is easy, I can do it" or "Be Careful, Gambling Will Ruin Your Life". I can understand why they would say such things, but they surely don't understand the game. It's true Poker is an easy game to learn, you will learn the rules in less than 10 minutes, but it will take you a lifetime to become a great player.

It's an important part of the process, usually you start by losing, but don't get too frustrated. The best lessons are learned when you lose and you go home talking to yourself, analyzing the stupid call you made, or the pocket pair you aggressively played.
